Welcome to Abergavenny Ladies Business Association

Abergavenny is an important market town situated close to the border with England and has excellent connections with the whole of Wales and the UK. It is home to many successful businesses both large and small and many of our award winning and well known businesses attract clients from all over Wales, including the Cardiff area, the rest of the UK and beyond.

The organisation was formed in the summer of 2009 by a group of professional women who were looking for networking opportunities locally but wanted something different from other existing networking groups, something that would cater specifically for the needs of local female business owners and professionals.

While gentlemen are welcome to attend our regular meetings, we feel that as a ‘ladies only’ group we offer a unique take on how business networking can be undertaken. We believe that our non-competitive and mutually supportive approach is particularly effective, adding a new dimension to this very contemporary method of building business relationships.

ALBA offers a warm welcome to local women in business, promoting and supporting the enormous contribution that female entrepreneurs, professionals and managers are making to the success of business in South Wales.

We believe that forging strong relationships are key to building businesses, and we can help you to develop that process for your business. We also believe that to network effectively the experience must be enjoyable and not over-structured.
